Lower High Point Bridge
Project Details...
RHC Engineering provided the plan, specification, and cost estimation for the 30%, 90%, 100%, and bid
package of the replacement bridge. The new bridge is a 200 foot long self-weathering steel truss structure. Due to the difficult site condition, the bridge
was designed to accommodate constructability requirements by splicing the truss segments and designing them for field assembly. It stands 30 feet above the creek, with unique curved columns on spread footings.

State Route 520 West Side
Project Details...
RHC Engineering supported the SR 520 program in civil and structural preliminary engineering
and concept design for multiple elements in the west corridor. We performed civil engineering design and right of way plan development.
Our structural engineering services consisted of two, 400 foot long curved pedestrian bridges and post-tensioned box structures,
one 200 foot long pedestrian tunnel, over 20 retaining walls, one HOV vehicular ramp bridge designed for future light rail compatibility,
storm water structures, refining structural design criteria, and advanced seismic analysis.

Post Avenue Bridge
Project Details...
RHC Engineering provided condition survey of the adjacent historical Colman Building, performed structural analysis on impact to the building due to the
bridge removal and pavement reconstruction process, and assisted submittal review during construction.

Cowen Park Bridge
Project Details...
Using three dimensional finite element models, including plate and shell elements,
RHC Engineering provided seismic vulnerability analysis and service condition load rating analysis for the historical arch bridge.
Our analysis showed consistent results with observed longitudinal cracks under the deck and vulnerable elements under
earthquake events. This arch bridge consists of five unique units of irregular reinforced concrete components
including multi-cell box girders, T-beam girders, and reinforced concrete solid slabs.
